Aloha, all my blog friends:
I have not written new posts and for a good reason. My dear wife had a fall with the result that she had a double fracture on her right wrists and broke her femur. Successful surgery and 5 weeks in a skilled nursing facility to undergo therapy and recover from the surgery. This facility was 16 miles from my home and considered a Cadillac among nursing homes. It was started for retired Air Force personnel but is now open to all branches of the service. Curtis Lemay was the developer and he and his wife lived in the retirement part until they died. It is on 221 acres, with bungalows and apartments. Bettie and I considered making it our home but for a one bedroom apartment the rent was $4,100.00 a month and we reconsidered since our home in Sun City suits us very well. One day perhaps we might change our minds again.
Bettie, my wife, has been home now for almost 3 weeks and is making great progress. She has therapy twice a week, once occupational for her arm, and once physical for her hip replacement. She can dress herself, walk with a walker, take care of her personal hygiene and we have been able a few times to go out for lunch. Getting in and out the car is no longer a problem and we seldom have to use her wheelchair. Her walker for now is sufficient be she also has a rollator that she probably will have to use for some time.
Now back to Polynesian Dreams, my whimsical autobiography and tale filled with adventure, romance and tragedy. It is available on all the ebook sellers for $3.79 with my proceeds, little as they are, going to charity, The Wounded Warrior Project and Animal Shelter.
The book is 352 pages and can be read on all ebook readers, Nook, Kindle, Ipad, even smart phones and is guarantied to give you hours of reading pleasure. People have written and called it a page turner. Go to Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Kobo, WaveCloud and read a few sample chapters. The book has predictions that although written some years ago are now coming true. It is also a book that is metaphysical plus inspirational. Those who have addiction problems, and as far as I am concerned we all have, can learn how to get rid of minimize this blight on their lives. I will try to begin writing daily blogs again now that Bettie is on the mend. I am still the chief cook and dishwasher, am a genius with the washer and dryer, a thing I never had to do and I can vacuum with the best of the. Please comment on my blog and thank you for reading it. Johan Van Oldenbarneveld, Sun City, California.

Google this place and be amazed at this incredible facility. The food was like a fine dining restaurant.
