Hallo Blog Readers:

When you have reached the ripe old age of 85 and still enjoy robust health you are a lucky fellow. I have reached that milestone and have my health. Almost each morning, my wife and I enjoy our breakfast in a nearby restaurant with 6 or more friends. We have done so for years and at my age I have many, many stories. I am a story teller by nature and my friends enjoy listening to me. I am telling you this because so many times over the years they have made comments such as: "Johan, you have had such an adventurous life, lived as a young teenager in Holland during the war, traveled the world over in the Dutch Navy and Dutch merchant marines, immigrated to America, served in the army as MP and criminal investigator, why do you not write a book about all that stuff.
I had written a couple of nonfiction books already plus had many nonfiction articles published in specialized magazines, but a book, an sort of autobiography, seemed like a daunting task. I finally decided to give it a go and low and behold, chapter after chapter appeared on my word processor.  I published the book in soft cover but after a few book signings and internet sales it sold out. Since the trend appeared to go in the e-book direction, I went to an e-book publisher, BookFuel, this company did a great job putting it on most of the e-book exchanges. Have sales been stellar? No! My problem is that there are more than 2 million,2,000,000, titles on the e-book shelves, how can I let my masterpiece stand out. This blog, twitter, FaceBook and videos where I chat about my Polynesian Dreams if the method I am using. There have been some sales since I started my promotions 2 weeks ago but I need help. Folks, the book, all 351 pages with photos, sells for $3.79, with my meager portion being donated to my favorite charity, Animal Friends of the Valley, where 5 years ago we adopted a lovely feline, our housemate Mieshe. Please help me with giving my book a go and thereby at the same time help our four footed friends find a home. Thanks again and again for your help.
