Aloha:
Can somebody, anybody please answer this question. How can you motivate somebody to buy your book. In my case, Polynesian Dreams.
WaveCloud.com the folks who formatted my manuscript in mobi and epub format has monthly seminars, the last one dealt with an important part of this motivation; the description of your masterpiece. This is an important part of how to motivate people to part with the $8.50 and go to Kindle, Nook, Kobo, WaveCloud or any of the e-book sellers and type in your title, Polynesian Dreams in the search portion and after reading perhaps a sample chapter, to continue and buy the full version.
You need determination, in a previous blogs I wrote about the bell on the Navy Seals parade ground. Never, ring that bell, folks, It has only been a month since my book has been available via e-book. How many copies did I sell in that first month? I do not know yet but as soon as I receive the figures I will write them in my blog.
Here is proof that I was writing at an early age.
Description:
Polynesian Dreams is a stew with a large amount of adventures, a dash of peppery sex, a pinch of Eastern Tibetan philosophy, a big bunch of inspiration and once started you want to turn to the next chapter to find another adventure, another tragedy, another triumph, travel to another part of the world, find another insight. Once finished you will have a pleasant aftertaste from reading this book.
Visit any of the e-book exchanges and taste a sample of this delicious stew the cook, Johan Van Oldenbarneveld has prepared for you.
When you are finished you will understand why Johan is donating his share of the proceeds to his favorite charities. This book is different but I think you will find it richly rewarding. Follow Johan's daily blog. Johan is unpretentious, this is why he probably never calls himself: "Author" but sticks with just plain writer. This is what Johan is, a writer, ever since he was a young boy in his native Holland, he has been stringing words together. He has published many articles, a book on how to play Texas Hold'em on the Internet and win, (now not legal but soon perhaps legal again).
I hope you give Polynesian Dreams a look and see. The response of those who did read his "masterpiece" has been great,
