A Writer's tale with happy ending:

Let go back to BC (before computers). You are an AUTHOR and have written a great novel titled: "The Devil made me do it". You carefully and neatly type the final manuscript and look up the agents and publishers in your Writer's Digest. You wrapped a red ribbon around the 300 pages, write a short synopsis and cover letter, include a SASE and with hope in your heart put it in the mail.

Six  months later and the manuscript is returned with a nice rejection letter. "Your story was well written but unfortunately at this time it does not meet our requirements. Thank you for submitting it and please write us again."

Now off to the next possible publisher. Same result. Tried a vanity publisher, too much money and no guaranty. Put the potential best seller on the shelf with the others.

Now we have entered the computer age, Border Books closes its stores due to Amazon Kindle, Barnes&Noble, Nook, WaveCloud, Kobo, Ebooks, Google Book and more. You dust off your manuscript and send it to a company to be converted into E-book format, be it mobi for Kindle or Epub for the other Ebook sellers, you also opt for the company offer of putting your precious labor of love in all the Ebook sellers stores. Voila, now you do not only have a domestic audience, the entire world is now able to enjoy your fantastic writing skills.

This is what I did with Polynesian Dreams by Johan Van Oldenbarneveld.  Your task is not finished however, you still have to promote your book, via facebook, twitter and all social media. You must also contact writer's clubs, do as I, print business cards and hand them out at Internet cafe's, thumbtack them on bulletin boards, give readings at senior centers, and use your imagination to think of more places to tell them about your masterpiece. I shopped around for a company that could handle my book and found it in WaveCloud, they offered the least expensive price and did the whole job within 14 days, with great communication of a Justin, my contact person. I am thrilled and now am busy promoting my epic. Hope this assists some budding author. Email if it helped you. Johan, pokerbydutch@verizon.net or visit my web site, www.polynesiandreams.com or go to Kindle or any other site and read a few sample chapters, better yet, buy my $8.50 book. I am donation my share to my favorite charity, Animal Friends of the Valley, Aloha, Johan
