Some women will vigorously disagree but writing a book and then finally getting it published in my mind might be somewhat like giving birth to a baby. You first get the idea you want one, baby or book that is, next you begin with creating one, book or baby that is, then finally you are done, the 9 months in baby's case are up, with a book it could be nine years, and your creating pops out of the womb. In case of a book, it pops out of your word processor. Now you got to nurture your baby, or book, and watch it grow up. In the case of a book you got to bring it to market. Actually this is the hardest part. Forget about the traditional way by sending the manuscript to an agent, vanity press will charge you an arm and a leg but now, thank Heaven, the internet offers you an other option. E-book publishing is the way to go for any budding author. Polynesian Dreams was first printed in book form by way of the Flash Book, Espresso Machine at the Riverside County, California, public library system, cost for a 350 plus page book, $10.00. I had 50 plus printed and sold them for $14.95 via my web site and personal contacts. I gave some away and although I promised my net proceeds to go to a charity, there was never any net proceeds, in fact I probably lost a few bucks. No problem with that however I wanted to have many people read my inspiration and filled with adventure book so I hunted for a company that could put my book in ebook format and found WaveCloud, a fairly new company that handled not only the conversion in mobi and epub format but also published it in all the e-book sellers online stores. Long blog but I am stoked by the results, you can now buy for $8.50 Polynesian Dreams in Kindle, Nook, Kobo, WaveCloud, Google books and more stores. Again my net proceeds going to Animal Friends of the Valley and The Wounded Warrior Project. Johan with much Aloha
