Hurrah, I made it to 84. I now have lived 83 years on this ball of earth that is spinning in the Universe, one of billions. Thank you one and all for all the birthday good wishes. Topic: world war II in The Netherlands, I had just turned 10 when the war in Holland began. On May 14 the city of Rotterdam was destroyed. In addition to my narration I have video clips of the USAF food dorps, the V1 launchings,a memorial flight in 2007 by a RAF Lancaster, the bomb attack on our apartment, the liberation and I briefly talk about my service in the Royal Dutch Navy, my world travels in the Merchant Navy and finally my 2 years in the US Army in Germany.
